Labor Day Regatta

09/05/2015 - 10:00 to 09/07/2015 - 21:00

The last races of the season had the greatest turnout - 12 boats!  Despite a gloomy forecast (mostly miserable, with occasional bouts of truly awful) Saturday actually surprised everyone.  At the start, light winds prevailed as the fleet slowly tacked down the channel from the Mayflower Island starting line.  By the time the fleet got to Marmion Island, the wind had picked up considerably.

Sail Measuring

05/15/2015 - 18:00 to 19:00

SEAS is a member of PHRF-NW.  This means that we have to give boats ratings, so we have to measure sails.

If you are a member and want to race, bring your sails to Gastineau Elementary School this Friday at 1800.

Maritime Festival

05/09/2015 - 09:00 to 17:00

Please join SEAS at the 5th annual Juneau Maritime Festival!

Activities will kick off with buoy races between member sailboats at 9:00 am.  Interested skippers should contact the Race Committee co-Chairs, Sean Boily or Jimmy Mahan.

Following the buoy races boats will moor at the Goldbelt dock to allow the public to view and tour the boats. During that time there will be a barbeque going and a swap meet with the Juneau Yacht Club, until the close of the festival.

Spirit of Admiralty

06/20/2015 - 00:00 to 06/26/2015 - 00:00

30 years ago, a group of Juneau sailors circumnavigated Admiralty Island in a sailboat race to commemorate the 25th year of statehood.  The longest inland water race on the west coast is the crown jewel of sailboat racing in Juneau.
