Splicing line to pull lines out of rigging for cleaning

I've gotten advice that the lines in my rigging seem to be in good shape but that I should clean them and that one way to do that would be to splice another line or some sort of cord onto the end and then pull the line through and off for cleaning, leaving then, the other line or cord to then put the clean line back on and pull through the mast.

Preparing to pull and paint

Greetings everyone. First, thanks in advance for your patience with all my questions that will evidence I don't know what I'm doing. I'm learning!

As many of you know, I purchased a 1979 Ericson sloop 25.5 foot sailboat last summer that needs a lot of work before I can take it out. All advice is welcome. Happy to have you drop by (Aurora harbor).

Looking to buy one of your used Dacron sails

I'm looking to cut down a used heavy-weight Dacron (8 - 10 oz.) sail to make a 75% jib (#4). These are the minimum dimensions of the sail:

Luff: 36'

Leach: 33.5'

Foot: 9'

Let me know if you have any unused sails in your inventory that meet or exceed these specs. Thanks.
