SEAS will be starting the season off with delicious food, refreshments, and great company. The BBQ Spring Party event is a SEAS tradition, and everyone is invited! We're hosting a BBQ Party from 6pm-9pm at Sandy Beach Savikko #1 and we would love to see you there. 

SEAS Membership Forms will be available at the party for those who wish to or still need to renew their memberships! SEAS Cup Registration Forms will also be available for skippers who wish to register for the SEAS Cup race series.

Nominations for Treasurer Needed

Nikolay Barkov, the SEAS treasurer, will be moving to Seattle at the end of May. As a result, SEAS is looking for a member willing to fill the treasurer position through the end of the 2018 term. If you are willing to serve as treasurer or if you would like to nominate someone to serve, please contact the club Commodore, Craig Wilson, by noon Wednesday, May 9. AMSEA Training Built Skills With Fun Drills

Instructors Jerry Dzugan and Nick Nickerson led participants in the Alaska Marine Education Association (AMSEA) boating safety course through a packed two days of learning and drills April 21-22 in Juneau. Among the more active sessions were mock use of fire extinguishers, working as teams to plug leaks that mysteriously sprung  in a U.S. Coast Guard leak training trailer, and learning how to safely set off flares.

The SEAS Board would like to extend an opportunity for all members to participate in a recreational boating, cold water safety and survival course facilitated by the Alaska Marine Safety Education Association (AMSEA) on April 21-22. The weekend course will be held at the UAS Tech Center at 1415 Harbor Way in Juneau.  SEAS highly recommends the
class for sailors participating in the Admiralty Island Rally, the Spirit of Admiralty, and other races.
