Next ‘Sailor Talks’ Series: Sail Repair and Maintenance

SouthEast Alaska Sailing (SEAS) will be hosting their third, 2013 ‘Sailor Talks’ educational event on Thursday, March 21, 2013, from 5:00-8:00 pm at the KTOO television studio, 360 Egan Drive. This month’s topic is Sail Repair and Maintenance.

If you have sails that need to be inspected or repaired, the KTOO television studio is large enough to accommodate them laid out flat, and a sail-rated sewing machine will be available for quick use. If you intend to race your sailboat in this season’s SEAS Cup, sails can also be measured for your boat’s PHRF rating at this time. This event is free-of-charge.

SEAS ‘Sailor Talks’ are an opportunity to share knowledge and stories during the off-season, and cover a range of topics from boating repairs, safety tips, and more. These events are open to the public and typically take place on the third Thursday of the month through April.

SEAS promotes boating safety, sponsors several sailboat races, and is a family friendly, community-oriented organization. For more information about SEAS, visit our website at ‘seasailing.us’ or call 209-1094.
