Maritime Festival

Please join SEAS at the 5th annual Juneau Maritime Festival!

Activities will kick off with buoy races between member sailboats at 9:00 am.  Interested skippers should contact the Race Committee co-Chairs, Sean Boily or Jimmy Mahan.

Following the buoy races boats will moor at the Goldbelt dock to allow the public to view and tour the boats. During that time there will be a barbeque going and a swap meet with the Juneau Yacht Club, until the close of the festival.

Spirit of Admiralty

30 years ago, a group of Juneau sailors circumnavigated Admiralty Island in a sailboat race to commemorate the 25th year of statehood.  The longest inland water race on the west coast is the crown jewel of sailboat racing in Juneau.

Skipper’s Choice #1– 1 Leg

Starting at 10:00 a.m. between the Committee boat and the Marmion Island Day Mark, the boats will sail ONE of these courses: 

A. North into Taku Inlet rounding the buoy off Jaw Point on a starboard tack, returning and crossing an imaginary line bearing 060 magnetic to the Marmion Island Day mark.

Starting at 10:00 a.m. between the Committee boat and the Marmion Island Day Mark, the boats will sail ONE of these courses:
