Happy Winter 2018 Sailors!

SEAS and the Juneau Yacht Club* are collaborating for this first Sailors Talk!

The event will held Thursday, February 1 at the Juneau Yacht Club, Graham Room, 6pm-8pm.

Bill Heumann, the Juneau Yacht Club Commodore and will talk about voyage preparations and give a few examples of why the preparations are important. Bill just returned from Panama in preparations for the passage to Tahiti. Bill was in the final stages of an engine rebuild and was able to take the boat about 30 miles to Shelter Bay Marina at the Atlantic entrance of the Panama Canal. Bill departs on his voyage mid-February.

Future Sailors Talk topics will include a boat maintenance discussion with Valley Paint owner, Charlie Williams on various marine paint and epoxy products and applications and also SEAS member, Noble Anderson, on mariner first aid. Dates to be announced. Stay tuned!
