SEAS Sandy Beach BBQ and Swap Meet

 SEAS, SouthEast Alaska Sailors, invite you and your family to our Sandy Beach BBQ and Swap Meet on Saturday, May 11th from 5-7 pm.  This has become our traditional season kickoff party and will feature:

 

  1. An awesome BBQ.  The grills will be going, the table set, and the fireplace will be glowing at the Sandy Beach shelter.  We’ll have some food items for people and encourage you to bring a dish to grill and a side dish if at all possible.

    Our annual Swap Meet.  Last year, we had two tables full of sailing related items for either giveaway or sale, including rigging, a dinghy and motor, deck hardware, etc.  You’re welcome to bring your items and are encouraged to donate a small portion of your Swap Meet profits to SEAS to help cover the cost of the event.

  3.  

    Membership and sailboat crewing opportunities.  During the season, SEAS sponsors nearly 15 race legs, awards various trophies to race winners, offers educational presentations, and sailboat crewing opportunities.

Many sailboat skippers attend so if you’ve wanted to crew, this is a good chance to meet with experienced sailboat skippers and discuss the upcoming season.  For those who already own a sailboat, there are good deals to be had during the Swap Meet.
